WordPress Content Cleanup After a Website Migration
I completed a WordPress content cleanup project for a publication moving its articles to a new website. My role was to clean up the imported content, restore matching images and check the articles for errors.

The Challenge
The articles had already been imported into the new WordPress website, but they still needed attention before they were ready for readers.
The client needed someone to clean up the content and transfer each article’s accompanying photograph from the existing website to the new one. Accuracy mattered: the right image needed to appear with the right article.
My Role
I handled the article cleanup inside WordPress. This included working with the imported content, matching photographs to articles and checking for copy errors.
What I Did
- Cleaned up imported article content in WordPress.
- Downloaded matching photographs from the existing website.
- Uploaded and placed those photographs with the correct articles.
- Reviewed articles and corrected errors where needed.
- Checked the finished content for presentation and accuracy.
The Result
I successfully completed the assigned cleanup work, helping prepare the migrated articles for use on the new website.
The client awarded the project a 5-star Upwork rating on May 7, 2024, and wrote:
“Muhammad worked very quickly to complete this project and his work was expertly done.”
The feedback recognized both the speed and quality of my work. The client also expressed willingness to hire me again for similar projects.
